Web design studio — UK

Set with care Websites, set with the care of a good page.

I’m a solo, independent designer. I build bespoke websites — the kind that load fast, read clearly, and feel like they were made for you, because they were.

Capabilities

Four things I make, properly.

  1. Bespoke websites, made for you

Designed and coded from scratch around your business — not dropped into a template. Clean, lightweight, and yours to keep.

  2. Responsive & fast

Built mobile-first so it looks right on every screen, and kept light so pages load quickly — for people and for search engines.

  3. Basic SEO

Sensible titles, descriptions, headings and structure so the right people can actually find you. The honest groundwork, done properly.

  4. Care & maintenance

Ongoing hosting, backups, updates and small edits, so your site stays current and you always have a real person to ask.

The method

Four steps, start to launch.

  1. Chat

We talk through what you need, who it’s for, and what success looks like.

  2. Design

I shape the layout, type and tone until it feels right for your business.

  3. Build

I build it — responsive, fast and accessible — and we review together.

  4. Launch

We go live, and I stay on hand for edits and care if you’d like.

Portfolio

Selected concepts.

Five imagined briefs, art-directed end to end. Invented brands — not client work — each one a different world, to show range across very different businesses.

Concept 01 · Natural wine bar

Vermillion

A candle-lit wine bar in deep vermillion and bone — a moody serif masthead over a tightly-curated list you can almost taste.

Concept 02 · Architecture studio

Atlas & Oak

Stark and precise: a project index set like a drawing register — all hairlines, tabular figures and quiet confidence.

Concept 03 · Sea-swim club

Lowtide

Big skies, cold water — a breezy coastal club with a horizon you want to dive into and sessions you can book in two taps.

Concept 04 · Record label

Nightjar

After-dark and electric: a near-black label site where the catalogue plays as you scroll and the type hits like the records.

Concept 05 · Florist & coffee

Press & Bloom

Soft and sunlit — a florist-meets-coffee-bar in sage and blush, with a single bloom opening as the page settles.

Investment

Honest, plain pricing.

Honest starting points. No packages padded out with things you don’t need — we’ll agree the right scope together.

The studio

One person, every detail.

I’m a solo web designer. There’s no big team behind a curtain and no template doing the heavy lifting — just one person who cares about getting the details right.

I like work that’s plain-spoken and well-made: type that’s comfortable to read, pages that load quickly, and a build that you can understand and edit. If that sounds like the kind of site you want, I’d love to hear from you.

Good to know

Common questions, answered.

  1. How long does it take?

Most simple sites take a week or two once we’ve agreed the plan and you’ve sent your content. Larger builds take longer — I’ll always give you a realistic timeline up front.

  2. What do you need from me?

Your words, any photos or a logo you have, and a rough idea of what you want the site to do. Not sure? We’ll work it out together on the first chat.

  3. Do I own the finished site?

Yes. Once the work is paid for, the site is yours to keep.

  4. Do you handle hosting and the domain?

I can. The Care plan includes hosting, or I can set you up to manage your own — whichever you prefer.

  5. Can I update it myself later?

Yes. I build in plain, readable code, and I’m happy to show you how to make simple edits — or handle them for you on a Care plan.

  6. Do I have to be local?

Not at all. I work with clients anywhere — most of it happens over email and a call.
